In a joint effort to showcase the arts and culture to the diverse and myriad communities in Southern California, SoCal Museums presents the annual Museums Free-For-All on Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 2-3. Dozens of museums—presenting art, cultural heritage, natural history, and science—will open their doors and invite visitors to attend their museums free of charge.

This offer is for general museum admission at participating museums only and does not apply to specially ticketed exhibitions. Regular parking fees apply. Consult individual museum websites for hours, directions, and other visitor information.

Negroni Week in Los Angeles: June 2-8, 2014

The second annual Negroni Week is taking place across the country and around the world from June 2-8, 2014. During Negroni Week, participating bars - over 1,200 as this post goes live - are mixing up Negronis and donating at least $1 from each cocktail sold to a charity of their choice. Campari has announced that it will donate $10,000 to the qualified charity of the bar or restaurant that raises the most money during this year’s Negroni Week.

Besides the classic Negroni - made with gin, Campari, sweet vermouth - imbibers can look forward to variations like the Negroni No. 9 at Rivera, and special events like the Negroni Soirée, taking place at Harlowe on Tuesday, June 3.
